After the May 12 Earthquake in Sichuan, according to the emergent order of the Group, Sinopharm Foreign Trade, as one of the undertakers of the national medicine reserves, held a meeting of senior management. A leading team and a working team of disaster relief were rapidly organized, with Mr. Yan Bing, President of the company as the leader; Mr. Kuang Yong, Vice President of the company was appointed deputy leader.  Soon, emergent mobilization and planning of disaster relief were arranged, and a strict inspection on reserved medicine and materials was also conducted.

On May 15, a work meeting of disaster relief was held.  Mr. Yan instructed that a strict examination of currently-stored reserves in terms of quantity, specifications, production date and serial number shall be conducted so as to insure a complete series of specifications and good quality to meet the reserve requirements.  Mr. Kuang Yong reported on the checking result of reserved products: all the current reserves exceed the reserve requirements in quantity; all types, specifications and quality are in compliance with the requirements.  Hearing the report, Mr. Yan instructed that a set of disaster respond procedures shall be formed and responsibilities shall be divided to insure a smooth channel of emergent allocation of the reserves. 

Also, Mr. Hui Youquan, Vice President of the company in charge of quality assurance, organized another urgent meeting, instructing that Quality Assurance Dept., Domestic Distribution Company and warehouses must conduct further examination of the product quality, so as to be prepared for all allocation tasks.

In face of such traumatic disaster, everyone in the company, from senior management to common employees, is immediately and completely devoted to this disaster relief.  We firmly believe that, with the nationwide support, we will win this battle!
