After the May 12 Earthquake hit Sichuan Province, the company made quick response to the disaster relief.  An emergent mobilization meeting was held; participants included senior and middle-level management, members of the Party Committee as well as representatives of the employees.  At the meeting, Mr. Yan Bing, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the company delivered the spirit on the Work Meeting of National Medicine Reserves chaired by Mr. Chen Weigang, Deputy General Manager of the Group, and the instructions of Mr. She Lulin, General Manager of Sinopharm Group.  At the meeting, Mr. Yan Bing required that Party organizations at all levels shall give full play to their role as the political core, that all Party members shall be the role model to other employees.  In such critical situation, attention shall be paid to the following aspects:

Firstly: efforts shall be made to guarantee the accomplishment of the national medicine reserves allocation. All shall obey the instruction of the Group and make quick response. Strict examination of product quality and quantity shall be conducted.

Secondly, we shall call on all employees to help the people suffering in the disaster-stricken area. A donation campaign shall be organized and launched as soon as possible. All money collected shall be handed in to the Financial Dept. of the Group before the noon of May 15.

Thirdly, all Party and Youth League members as well as company employees shall put more efforts in doing their own job so as to maximize the profit and help build a stronger country. By doing so, we will make our own contribution to the disaster relief and reconstruction.
