All for Our Compatriots in the Disaster Area--- Emergent Allocation of National Reserved Materials
2008-5-21
At 2 am, May 20, the Group’s order of emergent allocation of national reserved materials reached Sinopharm Foreign Trade. Mr. Yan Bing, the Company President, immediately commanded all related departments to work all out to accomplish the allocation task on time. Ms. Sun Xiaoli, Deputy Chief Officer, Mr. Liu Yi, Manager of Medical Product and Equipment Dept. as well as Mr. Jiang Yong, on receiving the order, instantly contacted manufacturers for inquiry of product quantity and specifications. In just a few hours, 94 sets of required respiratory machine were ordered and prepared.
Early that day, the first barrier emerged: no shipping space was available that day. Staff of the former Logistic Dept. worked together again making every effort to tap possible resources and finally made the book for the 16:00 flight that day. Also, every detail during loading and transportation has been arranged carefully.
Time is running out. The staff split into two teams: one, led by Mr. Cong Ming of Pharmaceutical Division, to take care of loading and transportation related issues; the other went straight to Sanjianfang Warehouse for product checking, labeling and encasing. To insure the completion of this emergent allocation, Mr. Kuang Yong, Vice President of the company, commanded the material loading on site; Mr. Zhang Shipei and Ms. Bai Fang, managers of Commercial Dept. and Operations Support Dept., also went to the site to coordinate the staff work. Mr. Zhao Yun from Quality Assurance Dept. was busying checking the products in terms of product name, specification, quantity and packing in order to insure the good quality of the reserved materials.
Thanks to them, all materials have been loaded and safely transported to the disaster area. Their effort is a reflection of the corporate culture of solidarity and the company tradition of helping the people in need.
